So we provide them with lifetime placement assistance. This can give them a support in shaping their career. Students make their own path in life. We just give them options.
The objective of the placement cell at INSD Kolkata includes
- To connect the students with the industry.
- Provide a complete training on technical skills as well soft skills.
- Dealing with matters concerning professional placement of pass-outs.
- Maintains contact with industry and brings to the notice of students industrial training, classroom project.
- Professional experience prior to completion of course such as industrial training, classroom projects and training for group discussion-personal interview also falls under the purview of the placement cell.
- Industry is invited for pre placement talks during which they are required to give a presentation of their company profile, recruitment needs, and remuneration package and so on. This is followed by interviews of interested students at a later stage.
The training from placement cell offered to every student, has helped many of the pass out students to attain a position at reputed places in reputed industry. Apart from full time jobs students also get opportunities to work on free lance basis. While some students aspire to be placed, some have become successful entrepreneurs with the help of the training by guest industry experts visit during the curriculum.
